Liviu Catalin Andrei (born in 1954, near Bucharest) is a professor of general economics and economics of integration at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA), in Bucharest, Faculty of Public Administration, since October 1997. He defended his Ph.D. in world economics in August 1996. He attended a postgraduate course in international accounting at the universities of Vilnius, Lithuania, and Tampa, U.S., in 1993, developed research on transitional economies at the University of Bath, UK, and collaborated to a teaching programme of the Romanian AISTEDA University, developed together with ‘Folkuniversitetét’ of Malmö, Sweden, in 1995. In 1999, the ‘Global Banking and Finance’ magazine of New York nominates Liviu Catalin Andrei on its ‘Who’s Who’ list of specialists.
He has written ten books on economics and published hundreds of specialty articles in publications around the globe. One of his books was published in 2011 by Xlibris (Daartford & Bloomington, UK).
